Every time you interview, the employer or hr manager is trying to assess what strengths you have. Often, they will ask you “tell me about your strengths?”
Some applicants have a natural sales style, can think and answer the question on the spot. Other applicants, strong communicators, articulate something well. Others, the well prepared have something to say even if they just share a key achievement. But – despite how common this question is, majority of job seekers still find it difficult to answer.
Facts are – the question will not go away. It is common and crucial. Recruiters and HR managers are looking to establish the best candidate for the job in a short space of time – perhaps in a one hour interview. The question becomes the crucial point of differentiation between you and your competition. The point is always recalled after interview. So, if you haven’t mastered the art of answering this question, it is time to do so. Once you are comfortable with it, your prospects will greatly improve.
